Assuming John married a Jane from IGI, in 1816- there arespouse: Temple, Jane (~1795 - )
several more children that could have been theirs in Haydon
Bridge, I have entered as many as seems possible from the
parish registers.
The one proven link is with Barbara, who gives Robert as the
name of her father on her marriage certificate, and gives her
place of Birth on the 1861 census as Haydon Bridge- looking at
the PRs for Haydon Bridge, Barbara is found in 1830, fathers
occupation Pitman of Ratten Raw, in 1827 an Alexander is born
to Robert pitman and Jane of Chesterwood- if this is the same
couple, then the other births at Chesterwood to a Robert and
Jane could also be considered, that of Robert in 1824,Hannah in
in Jan 1823, John in Dec 1820.
It is also possible but more unlikely, that twins baptised in
Oct 1823, Anne and William could be theirs but the location
given Gingle pot is different, also another William on 26 may
1822 is a possiblity if I could find a death, so causing the
name to be used again. There is also an Edward Hunter Robson
baptised in 1817 to robert and Jane of Gingle pot, Roberts
occupation being woodmanOccupation - [date: 17 OCT 1830] [place: Ratten Raw, Haydon Bridge, Northumberland]
