The webmaster W. Paul Featherstone holds The Guild of One Name Studies membership for the above surnames. At the moment we are compiling a database of all Featherstone descendants with the intention of displaying the information on this site with some 7000 so far within the dataset, we are looking for more information see details
The society was founded by 5 English researchers, who felt that the best way to publish their findings was to publish a newsletter, and so this Society was formed and now publishes a quarterly newsletter, which is part of the benefit of membership of the Society. We also held a family gathering over the weekend of 25/26th of May 2002 in Wimbledon
A year after we started, the publisher of "Featherston Findings" a booklet of 20 volumes joined with us. Featherston Findings are now on the web site in our USA - Index section.

The earliest known Featherstone that we have information on is Helius (Elias) de Fetherstonhalgh abt 1202, but see the History pages for more information.
