Membership

We would like all Featherstone researchers and family to join our Society, no matter what variation of the name you have or are researching.

To this end we have set up a world wide network so you have as many choices as we can make of you joining us. We struggle along trying to keep membership costs to a minimum.

The main information platform we have is our newsletter which is published 4 times a year- you have a choice of delivery methods- either a printed document received through your mail box, or an electronic version downloaded from our members only site. Newsletter By Mail.

You can subscribe directly from the site via PayPal chose your country where you want delivery

Because members in Canada & USA get newsletters printed and mailed out from their countries it is not possible to have anything but Electronic delivery from this page if you live in Canada or the USA.

Costs

No changes for new year 2008-2009
All payments via paypal.com apart from the electronic option we have added 50 pence to cover paypal costs

For an Electronic copy of our newsletter, plus access to our members only site, and access to the members only section of this web site we try and keep this as low as possible, since it only involves keeping up web site costs at $21approx. a month and minimum costs of document conversion we charge you £5 per year. (this is UK pounds)

For a printed copy of the newsletter and access to the web sites, this involves a rather more complex pricing structure- as it depends on numbers of newsletters produced in different countries and also currency markets play their part,  We produce three separate issues of the newsletter- One in the UK, one in the USA and one in Canada.

The UK produced newsletter is also posted out to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and other members in Europe. So postage plays a major part in the cost breakdown. In the UK we charge £6.50, Australia and New Zealand pay in Australian Dollars and these go via our Representative based in Australia. This year the charge will be AU$28 to cover rising postage prices and production.

The Canadian newsletter costs you (CA)$26- , we need more members taking this printed version to keep costs under control.

The USA copy costs you US$18, prices remain fairly stable in this region, but the more members we have, the better able to keep this to this price it will be.

If you live in main land Europe then we add an extra Pound to the cost of a printed  UK version to cover the additional postage costs.
