6 Nov. 2002. The index to the UK section of our site is now complete, work will start on the USA section next. A new version of the Kent project uploaded

31 October 2002. Completed the main pages for the every name index of Featherstone Findings, so that you can now search for every surname and every Featherston(e) given name, lots of work still to do on providing links to every page from the index, but that can now be done as and when I get time. The index is usable in it's present form- but you might need a pen and paper to jot down the references. I have written a short help page to help you understand how the pages work.

22 Oct. 2002 Started work on the every name index for Featherstone Findings, you can see a full list of all the non Featherston etc. surnames here, links will change as I get each page of surnames done, I have made a start on the page with people who have no surname and those with the beginning letter A.. There are 4,494 references to Featherstone or variant, and 14,060 references to other surnames, that's roughly 18,500 links to be made- just to link names to pages, plus all the links where the same name appears on more than one page. I don't expect it will be finished before next Easter, but keep coming back for updates. Main Featherston Findings frame here.

15th Oct 2002 Added every name index for Featherston Findings Volume 10 also added index for Sheerness Halfway cemetery.

4th-9th Oct. 2002 Added 1901 census quick view guide for the Counties of Yorkshire, Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex with full index of names. added a couple of marriage certificate details and several Birth certificate details, added extractions from the parish registers of Hartlepool. Repaired several links within the Wills of UK section. My thanks to members Paul R and Graham for the work involved.

corrected an error in Births in England & Wales where header said 1871 but births were 1870. Corrected an error in navigation on a back button, Corrected a spelling error in the birth tables. Added one entry to the Yorkshire Parish Records.

Added first page of the Yorkshire 1891 census, member Bob Wood has agreed to transcribe from images of the census. See the project link or 1891 census Navigation bar. In the England and Wales section

Added all name index for Featherston Findings Volume 4. Worked on new index both in the USA section and in the England and Wales section you should start to see an improvement in both indexes. The front part of the England and Wales section has changed now in it's own set of frames, just so the index would work correctly.

30 Aug 2002. Update Parkinson file pages and added another will of Timothy Featherstonhaugh this transcript is from another source and contains the oaths of the executors. Also added a new Kent researchers file. Worked on our own index file removed England and Wales from the index and I will build a separate one for that part of the site- which is by far the biggest proportion. Completed Australia, Canada and Ireland- still working on USA see what you think by clicking here there is still a lot of work to do on the 2300 plus pages please bear with me. When finished I can do without the external search engine.

26 April 2002 added a few Parish records for the County of Kent- Parishes Lydd, Baptisms and Burials Sutton Valence a marriage. All need to be checked against actual records as these came from an index by Kent FHS. Added a couple of marriage records for Great Shelford Parish in Cambridge, also odd records for the following parishes in Kent Boxley, Patrixbourne.

17 March 2002 -Added deaths for the year 1970 which for the first time in the register indexes include the date of the person being registered. These have been transcribed by member 250 who will continue when time allows to add to the collection. So keep coming back for more. 1971 has been collected just waiting to type them up.
