Asheville Schools, he worked first as a Real Estate salesman, then in the 30's during the
depression he worked for Leo Finkelstein in his Pawn Shop on Pack Square. Finally he
became a dealer in antiques, operating his own store at 40 Biltmore Ave. in downtown
Asheville. One of his boyhood chums was Thomas Wolfe who later became Asheville's most
famous writer. Their homes were only a short distance apart, they were nearly the same age,
and went all through school together before Tom went on to University  A first hand account
of some of their experiences together was published by Ralph Roberts in The Original

starred in The Swan. For one picture he was delegated the job of rounding up 27 Victorian horse-drawn carriages, in the course of which he had to travel for about two weeks through
Georgia and South Carolina, and even on up to Virginia, looking for ones that were still in good enough condition to be used. He ended up with only sixteen. His brother who was in the horse-breeding business was able to supply a good number of the needed horses.
About five years after Dianna Alien was in town, he recalled finding a picture of her rolled up and hidden back on a shelf in his mother's pantry. When he asked his mother about it she admitted that when it had come about five years earlier, she had hidden it without giving it to him, on the grounds that she was afraid he might take off and move out to Hollywood.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the National Society, Sons of the Revolution, and of the Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society. In 1992, at the age of 92 years, he published a small book of memoirs, but which was mainly about his father's and mother's ancestry, entitled The Life and Ancestry of Robert Dewey Bunn of Asheville, NC.

years, although the certificate stated that he was 21 years old. T.P. Ward and B.J, Maxwell were the witnesses. They were apparently married early one Sunday morning before the time for the regular church to begin. Nellie was stated on the records as being 18 years of age, but she was actually only 15 years. They worked at various occupations, an early job being cooks for Edward
W. Ward's road construction crew when they were building roads through the Green River section of Henderson County. They did some farming, but along the way, probably lost the property Henry received from his parents. They eventually moved to Canton, in Haywood County, where Henry worked at the Champion Paper Company, and Nellie ran a boarding house. Their children
