Elizabeth Cole and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath and my will and desire is that the land and
plantation whereon I now live, which is Line North of Sam Johnstons line,
Samuel Hands line unto his Northeast corner and those (adjacent?) line to
James Higgins southwest corner, except the land which is deeded unto my
beloved two sons William Loftin and Thomas Loftin, after their mothers
decease, to their heirs and assigns forever.
Item: My will and desire is that the strip of land which lies south of James
Higgins and west of Samuel Hands west boundary line, be sold to raise money to
discharge my just debts at the discretion of my executors hereafter named.
Item; I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Nancy Featherston, one
negro girl named Kerlinda and her increase to the said Nancy Featherston and
her heirs forever. Now if the said Kerlinda should not be released from her
present mortgage my will and desire is that Kerlinda's full value be made out
of my real estate unto my beloved daughter Nancy Featherston to her and her
heirs forever.
Item; I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Eldridge Loftin. one negro boy
by name of Isaack to him and his heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Lovina Loftin, one negro
girl by name of Mary and one negro boy by name of Matt to my daughter Lovina
and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Lucy Loftin, one negro woman
by the (name of?) Darkis, after her mothers decease for disposal to her and
her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Henry Loftin one (Horse?) to
him and his heirs forever.
Item: My will and desire is that my beloved sons Thomas Loftin and Eldridge
Loftin share one feather bed and furniture apiece each of them their heirs and
assigns forever.
Item: My will and desire is that my beloved daughters Lovina Loftin.and Lucy
Loftin share one horse, bridle and saddle and one feather bed and furniture
apiece each of them and their heirs forever.
Item: My will and desire is that my beloved wife Lovina Loftin shall have all
the remainder of my stock which is not heretofore given and devised away, also
all the household furniture, utensils and plantation tools and kitchen
furniture which is not before given and bequeathed away during her natural
life, also one negro boy by name of Sam to my beloved wife Lovina Loftin
during her natural life and after her decease, all the property given, devised
and left to my beloved wife is to be divided between my beloved daughters.
Polly Brothers, Elizabeth Cole, Nancy Featherston, Lovina Loftin and Lucy
Loftin, to them and their heirs forever.
Item: Lastly I constitute, nominate and appoint my beloved wife Lovina Loftin
and my beloved sons William Loftin and Thomas Loftin my whole and sole
executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking, disallowing and
disowning all former wills and bequeaths by me hereby made, ratifying
confirming, publishing and declaring this and only this to be and remain my
last will and testament.
