Abraham and Catherine Lingenfelter Cassell. Abraham Cassell came from Maryland
to Kentucky. He was a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War. Abraham was the son
of Heinrich Cassell, of Hesse Cassell, Germany, who came to America in the
seventeenth century and settled in Frederick Co., Md.
Sarah Bryan Cassell, mother of Margaret Cassell, wife of William W. Featherston,
was the daughter of William T. and Margaret Gist Bryan.
William T. Bryan was the son of Daniel Boone and Elizabeth Turner Bryan. This
William Bryan was the founder of Bryan Station, Kentucky.
Mary Boone Bryan, wife of William Bryan, was the sister of Daniel Boone, who
blazed the trail for the "Wilderness Road", and was founder and defender of
Boonesboro, Kentucky.
Margaret Gist, wife of William T. Bryan, was the daughter of William and Mary
Gatewood Gist. William Gist was the son of Nathaniel and Mary Howard Gist.
Nathaniel Gist, Ensign of Gist's Continental Regiment in the
Revolutionary War, was the son of Christopher and Edith Cromwell Gist.
