...wheras Richard and Sarah Featherston did implead George Wade admr. of William Featherston Decd. in action for not performing certain promises, and in Oct. Term 1786 did obtain Judgement... for 82 pounds 7 shillings.. .did expose to sale on 9 Dec 1786, 100 A on E side Cataba River adj. George Wade, land granted to Christopher Morgan, adj. William Ford, first granted to Thomas Fannon, conveyed to John Foard, then to Richard Featherston, according to law fell.. .Middleton McDonald being the highest bidder. ..17 Apr 1787. I Robert Wright in Brunswick County do make this my last will and Testament

after all my just debts are paid as followeth -I give unto Mary wife(1) one negro man named George one womans saddle one feather bed and furniture.

Item I give unto my son Robt Wright one negro woman named Milley and her youngest child Silvia.

Item I give unto my daughter Jane Featherston one negro girl named Fib to her and her heirs. I give unto my son Thomas Wright one negro man named Daniel to him and his heirs. I give unto my son Joshua one negro boy named Jacob to him and his heirs. My will and desire is that where I have given negroes they shall have right keep them. Also my will and desire is -the remaining part of my estate be equally divided amongst my wife and children that are then surviving. The negroes that are not mentioned here I desire may not go out of the family. My desire is that my land should be sold my widow having a third part. My desire is that Uriah's.(2} children may have an equal part of my movable estate.

I give unto son Reubin Wright my two work steers. I do apoint my sons Reubin and Joshua my executors of my last will and Testament this 11th day August 1781.

(1) The word Mary has been squeezed into space in front of wife. It may have originally said, "my wife."

(2) Uriah's was definitely written by someone else, rather than the person who copied the will.
