FEATHERSTONS GATHER FOR FAMILY-REUNION
The Featherston families from Missouri and Kentucky, with relatives and
friends to the number of fifty-nine met Sunday morning at Sikeston for a
family reunion. Well filled dinner baskets of home cured Kentucky ham and
Missouri fried chicken was much in evidence and the noon day spread was
enjoyed by all present. For some of the relatives it was the first meeting
in thirty or thirty-five years and it was agreed it should be made an
annual event. Everyone present had an enjoyable time re-newing
acquaintances and talking over old times.
Those attending from Doniphan were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Garrison, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Garrison, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. (Bob) Garrison and son Bob, Mrs. M.E.
Garrison, W.J. Garrison, Mrs. R.A. Owens and daughter Ruth, Mrs. Minnie
Ponder, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Featherston and son Jean and daughters, Veta
and Dorothy and Bernard Braschler. |
