Welcome to FEATHERSTON FINDINGS volume 13 (February 1994).
Please accept my apologies for the long delay between volumes 12 (September 1993) and 13.
We have now distributed booklets to individuals and libraries in many of our U.S. states including Arkansas. California. Connecticut. Florida. Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. Information regarding this series has also been sent to individuals in many other states. Therefore, many people have learned of our work and others have the opportunity to do so.
If you have not submitted your lineage for publication in our BRANCHES section, let me urge you to take care of this important matter. All of us know the amount of work and frustration involved in researching our Featherston(e) family lines. We can make research less difficult for our descendants by permanently recording this material.
Every effort will be made to complete volume 14 within a shorter time period.
Thank you for your support.
Joyce

Featherston, born about 1816 in Kentucky,” as mother of Edward Hardiway’s son “Edward John Featherston, and also says Edward John was born in 1836 in Arkansas”. Edward Hardiway lists two sons on the 1850 Scott Co., AR census - Edward Featherston. aged 14 years born in Arkansas and John Featherston Aged 11 years born in Texas. The FAMILIES OF FALLS COUNTY (TX) article appears to have combined these sons names (or was one not a son?) as it says: “Edward John (Jack) Featherston born 1836 in Arkansas, date of death and place of burial unknown, married (1) Catherine Warren who died in Missouri about 1864: married (2) Parmeda (?) in 1864: and with his family came with his father to Falls Co., TX in 1870 settling in an area around present day Chilton. “Ed. H. Featherston whose first wife died, married one of the Reed girls, Anne”
Anne Reed is not listed here as a wife of Edward Hardiway since Julia D., aged 31 years, born in Kentucky, is alive on his 1860 Granby Township (Newton Co.) MO U.S. Census. His sister Nancy Featherston/Reed/Crow married a Reuben Reed in Scott Co., AR about 1860.
