This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Featherstone of Trafalgar Street Sheffield in the county of York Canvasser as follows First I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid by my executrix hereinafter named I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Mary Featherstone All that piece or parcel of ground called Marsh Close situate at Cawood in the said county of York [Subject to the life Interest of my Mother in law in the said Marsh Close] And also all those my four leasehold dwelling houses situate and being in Washington Road in the parish of Sheffield aforesaid and all other my real and personal estates and effects wherever situate and whether in possession reversion or expectancy To hold the same unto my said wife Mary Featherstone according to the nature and title thereof respectively for her own use and benefit absolutely and to be disposed of in such manner as she may think best And I hereby appoint my said wife Mary Featherstone sole executrix hereof In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and fifty six

Signed published and declared by the said Thomas Featherstone [the Testator ] as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other all being present at the same time have hereunto set our names as witnesses Henry Mitchell Joel Kirby [3 folios]

The foregoing is a true copy of the original will of Thomas Featherstone deceased proved in the District Registry at Wakefield
