I revoke all former wills made by me and I appoint Thomas ABBOTT of Tunbridge Wells aforesaid Printer and Thomas REED of Tunbridge Wells aforesaid Bookseller Executers and Trustees hereof I give all my plate linen china glass books pictures prints wines liquors and other household effects to my dear wife Louisa Kipping FEATHERSTONE absolutely. And I also give to her the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid within three calendar months after my decease I give devise and bequeath all my real and Personal Estate not hereinbefore otherwise disposed of unto my said trustees their heirs executers administrators and as signs respectively upon trust to sell and convert into money such parts thereof as shall not consist of money with full discretionary powers to sell in such manner and subject to such conditions as they my said trustees shall think proper with power to buy in and resell without being responsible for loss occasioned thereby and also with power to suspend with the written consent of my said wife the sale or conversion of any part of my said trust estate for such period as they may think expedient And as to the monies to arise by such sale calling in and conversion of my said trust estate upon trust in the first place to pay or retain all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies by this my Will And upon further trust to reinvest the ultimate surplus of the said trust monies in the names of my said trustees in or upon permanent Public stocks funds or securities of the United Kingdom or on the security of a mortgage of mortgages of any freehold copyhold property in England or Wales, but not elsewhere and from time to time with the written consent of my said wife during her life and afterwards at the discretion of my said trustees to vary the said investments or any of them into others of the same or a like nature and to stand possessed of my said trust estate and the stocks funds and securities on which the same may be invested upon trust to permit my said wife to receive the income and annual proceeds arising therefrom and from such parts of my said trust estate as shall from time to time be or remain unsold or unconverted she thereout maintaining educating and clothing such of my children as shall be under the age of twenty one years or unmarried until each of my children living at my death shall have attained the age of twenty one years or shall die or until the death of my said wife whichever event shall first happen and when and as soon as each of my said children shall attain the age of twenty one years or shall die then upon trust to pay to my said wife if she shall then be living the income or annual produce to arise from one half part of my said trust estate during her life and as to the remaining half part of my said trust estate and after the decease of my said wife as the whole of my said trust estate to stand possessed of the same in trust for all my children in equal shares if more than one but only if such child then the whole to such child and I declare that if any child of mine shall die during my lifetime or prior to the period for the distribution of my said trust estate amongst my children as aforesaid leaving a child or children who shall attain the age of twenty one years or marry then and in every such case the last mentioned child or children shall take (and if more than one in equal shares) by substitution the share which is his or her parent would have been entitled to under this my Will if such parent had survived the period fixed for the distribution of my said trust estate And I declare that in case no child or other issue of mine shall acquire an absolutely vested interest in the said trust fund by virtue of my Will then as to the same trust fund in trust for such person as my said wife shall by Will appoint and in default of appointment and subject to any partial appointment in trust for such persons as at the decease of my said wife who under the statutes for the distribution of the personal estates of interstates would be entitled to my personal estate And I empower my said trustees with the written consent of my said wife to carry on for such period as they may think proper any business that I may be carrying on at the time of my decease and for such purpose to use and employ any portion of my trust monies and estate as they may deem advisable And I direct that any profit arising from the carrying on of such business shall be applied in the same manner and subject to the like trusts as I have hereinbefore declared concerning the income of the said trust estate and I devise and bequeath to my said trustees their executers administrators and assigns all estates vested in me as trustee or mortgagee subject to the trusts and equities affecting the same respectively And I appoint my said wife Guardian of my infant children during her life and after her decease I appoint my said trustees to be such Guardians and I bequeath to them respectively the sum of fifty pound each as a complement to them for the trouble they may have in the trustship and executorship under this my Will And I direct them to retain the same immediately after proving the same In witness
whereof I have to this and to the preceding sheet of this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twelfth day of January one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven
