514 William Featherstonhaugh 1902 Surrey

 

This is the last will and testament of me William Featherstonhaugh of No 11 Routh Road Wandsworth Common in the county of Surrey Brewer I appoint my sister Annie Elizabeth Featherstonhaugh of 239 Newmarket road Cambridge sole executrix and trustee of this my will I give devise and bequeath the whole of my real and personal property and estate to my said trustee upon trust to sell and realise so much thereof as does not consist of money and to hold the same upon trust for all my children absolutely in equal shares and to vest on their attaining the age of twenty one years but not to be payable until the youngest surviving child shall attain the age of sixteen years I direct that my said trustee shall invest the said estate and proceeds of sale as aforesaid in any English Government or funds or on Mortgage of real estate in Great Britain or in debenture stock of any railway in the United Kingdom where they shall be paying a dividend on their ordinary shares shall apply seven eighths of the dividends and interest arising from such investments in or towards the maintenance and education of my said children and shall in the discretion of my said trustee pay the remaining one eighth part of such dividend or interest on the usual quarter days to my wife Annie Harriett Featherstonhaugh so long as she shall continue my widow And I direct that my said executrix and trustee shall be allowed a reasonable time not exceeding eighteen months within which to wind up sell and dispose of my business of a brewer carried on at Battersea Park Brewery in the county of Surrey And I hereby appoint my said trustee to be the Guardian of such of my children as shall be infants at my decease until they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years jointly with their mother Annie Harriett Featherstonhaugh In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 22nd day of March one thousand eight hundred and ninety two William Featherstonhaugh Signed by the said William Featherstonhaugh the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses George R Jackson Solr 39 Essex Street Strand    Joseph Earl his Clerk

This is a codicil to the will of William Featherstonhaugh of 11 Routh Road Wandsworth Common Surrey I hereby give power to my sister Annie Elizabeth Featherstonhaugh of 239 Newmarket Road Cambridge the trustee and executrix of my will to carry on my business as brewer at the Battersea Park Brewery South Lambeth so long as may appear to her advisable W Featherstonhaugh signed by W Featherstonhaugh in our presence both being present together Lorenzo Cortlandt Norris  Frederick Elms 

Affidavit of due Execution of Codicil filed

On the 11th day of October 1902 Administration with the will and Codicil of the effects of the Testator was granted to William Rupert Featherstonhaugh and John Spencer Featherstonhaugh the natural and lawful sons of Testator and as such having attained the age of 21 years two of the residuary legatees
