This is the last will and testament of
me Thomas Featherston of Hessle in the East Riding of the county of York a
labourer made by me this twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty five I direct my executrix hereinafter named to
pay and discharge all my just debts funeral and testamentary charges as soon as
conveniently maybe after my decease I give devise and bequeath all my real and
personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever [after payment of my just
debts and charges as aforesaid ] unto my daughter Sarah wife of Emanuel Booth of
Trent Park in the parish of Enfield in the county of Middlesex to and for her
own sole use benefit and disposal absolutely free from the control of her
husband and I declare that her receipt shall be a sufficient discharge for all
moneys and effects delivered to her by virtue of this my will and I appoint my
said daughter Sarah Booth the sole executrix of this my will Lastly I refute all
former and other wills declaring this writing about to express the whole of my
will I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year first before
written Thomas Featherston Signed by the said Thomas Featherston the testator
as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same
time who in his presence and the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
our names as witnesses
