This is the last will and testament of Thomas Featherstonhaugh of Close Head Denton Nether Cumberland
I hereby give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary Featherstonhaugh for her own use during the term of her natural life the full annual income and revenue of all my estate and effects both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever and what nature and quality soever and after her decease I give devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Featherstonhaugh or his heirs the Freehold house stables and garden situate in Wapping Street Haltwhistle and to my daughter Mary Ann Featherstonhaugh the freehold house and garden situate at Close Head Denton Nether with all my household furniture I also bequeath to my son and daughter the aforesaid Thomas and Mary Ann Featherstonhaugh in equal proportions the whole of the remainder of my estate and effects both real and personal And I hereby appoint my son Thomas Featherstonhaugh sole executor of this my will and during the life time of my wife Mary Featherstonhaugh give him full power to manage my estate and effects for her benefit and in the event of the decease of my son Thomas Featherstonhaugh I hereby appoint my daughter Mary Ann Featherstonhaugh the sole executrix of this my will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of August Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and eighty four Thomas Featherstonhaugh

Proved at Carlisle the 16th day of September 1884 by the oath of the reverend Thomas Featherstonehaugh Wesleyan Minister son of the testator the sole executor named in the will to whom administration was granted
The testator Thomas Featherstonehaugh was late of Close Head in the parish of Nether Denton in the county of Cumberland yeoman who died on the 20th day of August 1884 at Close Head aforesaid
