In the name of God Amen I Anne Featherstone of Blark Hall in the county of Northumberland widow being of sound and perfect mind &memory Do make this my last will & testament in manner following

Imprs I will & desire that all my just debts & funeral expenses be first pd & satisfied

Item Igive devise & bequeath unto Richard Ord of Hexham in the sd county Gentl & Richard Ellis of the same Gentleman &their assns All my household goods plate linen & furniture& other my goods & chattels of what kind so ever to be sold and converted into money as soon after my decease as possibly may And the money so arising by the sale thereof after expenses about selling the same being first deducted to be put out at interest in esufrab? is here after insurondd?;  And also all other my wall? & personal effects of what kind so ever I give devise & bequeath the same to the sd Richard Ord [Deceased] & Richard Ellis [sworn] In trust to & for ys several uses & purposes hereafter named Viz In the first place that out of the interest & profits thereof & of the money arising by the sale of my household goods plate linen & furniture as aforsd A legacy or bequest of ten pounds p annm left to my daughter Margaret Hodgston for her life in & by the last will and testament of my late dear husband John Featherston do or be continued to be paid to her in manner as is therein mentioned And all my sd estate subject to such Annuity as aforsd In trust for the use of my grandchildren Thomas Hodgston ,Anne Hodgston & Matilda Hodgston to be divided into five parts or shares ,two whereof to Thomas Hodgston ,two shares to Anne Hodgston & one share to Matilda Hodgston to be paid to them as they severally attain to their several ages of one & twenty years or be married which shall first happen & in the mean time the interest & profits of my said estate to go to their maintenance at the discretion of the said Esustood And in case of one or more of my sd grand children shall happen to die before they attain their sd ages or be married their shares to go to the survivor or survivors of them And in case they all die before they attain such their several ages or be married From all their sd shares or parts to go & be to & for the sole & only proper use & hehoos? Of mydear beloved brother Jonathon Smith of London Esq his heirs & assns for ever

My mind & pleasure is that my sd Esustood? Shall pay to my son Jonathon Featherston a guinea & to my son –in-law John Hodgston five shillings out of my sd estate And I do hereby appoint the sd Esustood joint exect of this my will revoking all others & declaring this only to be my last will & testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty forth day of May An Dm 1732

Know all men by these presents ,That we Richard Ellis of Hexham in the county of Northumberland Gentleman and Lancelot Algood of Ryding? In the said county Esquire do stand and are firmly bounden and obliged unto the Worshipful William Ward Doctor of Laws ,Commissary and Custas Generall  of the Exchequer and prerogative Courts of the most Reverend Father in God Lancelot by Divine Providence ,Lord Archbishop of York ,Primate of England and Metropolitan, lawfully constituted in the sum of four hundred pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said Commissary or his true and lawful Attorney, Executors or Administrators to which payment well and truly to be made We bind us and either every of our heirs executors and administrators and eoxy of them firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals Dated the eighteenth day of the month of September in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and thirty three

The condition of this obligation is such, That if the above bounden Richard Ellis surviving executor of the last will and testament of Anne Featherston late of Blarkhall within the parish of Hexham and Diocese of York deceased do will and truly execute and perform the said will and do pay her debts and legacies so far as her goods will extend and law shall bind him If also he do exhibit into the prerogative court at York , a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods, rights,credits, cattels and chattels of the said deceased, anddo make a true and just account of the same when he shall be thereunto lawfully called.And moreover, if need require, enter into further Bond , with more sufficient Sureties for Performance of the Premises, as the Judge of the said Court, for the time being, shall think requisite and needful. And lastly, dosave, defend, and harmless keep the above named Judge, and all his Officers, and Ministers against all persons by reason of the premises. Then this present obligation to be void, and of none effect; or else to remain in full force and virtue
