In the name of God Amen [I] Heneage Fetherstone of London Merchant being [God be Praised] in perfect ----------disposition both in mind & body but having consideration? of our frail and mortal state and the uncertainty of life do make this my last will and testament revoking any other will by me heretofore made and in the first place I bequeath my soul to God that gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came in hopes of a glorious Resurrection through the mercies of God and the Redemption by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ my body to be interred ? decently at the discretion of my executors hereafter mentioned reserving them to excuse? all manner of ostentation or pageantry and as to my worthy goods I dispose of them as followeth Viz Imprinis I give and bequeath one hundred pounds to the relief of the poor of the parish of St Giles in the fields ?London and fifty pounds to the relief of the poor of the parish Allhallows Barkin London to be distributed at the discretion of my executors Item I give and bequeath two hundred dollars to the relief of the poor  in the city of Alicant in Spain to be distributed as Mr Thomas Ayles shall direct Item I give and bequeath two hundred pounds to Christ’s Hospital London Item I give and bequeath one hundred pounds to Bethlehem hospital London Item I give and bequeath one hundred pounds to St Thomas’s Hospital Southwark Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Fetherston my dear and loving wife during her natural life the rent of my estate at Torling in Essex bought of Thomas Western my father in law according to our marriage settlement and articles and whereas I have since bought in said parish of Torling fifteen pounds p annum of one Mr Page and four pounds p annum of Mr Wilshire my will is that my said wife shall enjoy the rents thereof during her life as if it were settled in jointure Item I give and bequeath unto my said wife two thousand pounds in the Bank of England according to our marriage articles and whereas by said marriage articles I am obliged to lay out fifteen hundred pounds more in land to be----likewise in jointure which if not complied with during my life must be done afterwards or an equivalent paid her in money as if may be agreed upon Item I give and Bequeath unto my said dear wife the annuities of two hundred pounds p annum of the year 1706 to her and her heirs for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife all my jewels rings plate linen pewter all my household goods furniture coach chariot horses harness and stable furniture whatsoever Item I give and bequeath unto my dear brother Thomas Fetherston fifteen hundred pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my hon’d father fifty pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my dear Aunt Elizabeth Bertio twenty pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my dear sisters Katherine Elizabeth Dorothy Grace Mary and Rebecca Fetherston nine thousand pounds in equal proportions being fifteen hundred pounds to each of them item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Horne Esq one hundred pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Thomas Ayles one hundred pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Sir[Dr]? John Gascarth Minister of Barkin twenty pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Sir[Dr]?Giles Pooley Lecturer? Of Barkin ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Mr             Steward a Minister ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto each of my servants that shall be in my family at the time of my death a years salary besides the wages due to them Item I give and bequeath the remainder and residue of my estate after all debts and legacies only paid together with the reversion of my estate in Essex after my wife’s decease unto my dear brother Henry Fetherston Esq and his heirs for ever Lastly I appoint and constitute my hon’d father Sr Heneage Fetherston my dear wife Frances Fetherston and my dear brother Henry Fetherston executors of this my last will and testament written with my own hand in this and the foregoing side London the thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eleven Heneage Fetherston Signed and sealed in the presence of Will Hugosson Jun Thomas Ayles William Roberts
