(826)Will of  Robert Featherstone of the Parish of Barham in the County of Kent, Yeoman proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury in 1836

This will is seven pages long so the following is a copy of the salient points.


Last will and testament of Robert Featherstone of the Parish of Barham in
the County of Kent, Yeoman



I give and devise all that my messiage or tenement with the barn buildings
in Garden Orchard Close Yark Backside and several pieces or parcels of land
to the same belonging or appertaining with their and every appurtenance
situate lying and being in the Parish of Barham, Kent at or near a certain
place there called Breech now in my own occupation and which I purchased
from Mrs Ann Mount and others unto my son William Featherstone of the parish
of Barham and Sarah Featherstone of the parish of Elham widow and relict of
my late son Thomas Featherstone equally.



All personal effects, linen, china, monies, securities are then to be used
to set up a trust.



A third part for the children of Robert’s deceased daughter Sarah the late
wife of John Marshall.



A third part to Robert’s daughter Elizabeth the wife of William Beer



A third part to Robert’s son Robert



£5 to be given to Elizabeth Hogben my housekeeper



I desire that my said trustees do cause a headstone to be put down in memory
of me and my late wife.



Proved February 9th by William Featherstone of Barham son of the deceased
and Sarah Featherstone of Elham, widow
